Applied Neurosciences in Sports & Exercise, M.Sc.
The international Master’s degree Program “Applied Neurosciences in Sports & Exercise” (ANSE) is a two year fulltime program divided into four semesters including 3 course semesters and a 6 month Master’s thesis. Education focuses on neuroscientific aspects of physical activity in sports and health care settings flowing into two areas of specialization: Therapy of Neurological and Neurodegenerative Diseases and Injuries & Training and Performance Development.

Application Deadlines & Visa Information
The ANSE Master's program starts once a year in the winter semester (October).
Application periods are:
- 16 January - 31 May for applicants from abroad
- 1 June - 21 September for applicants from Germany
Non-EU/EEA students may require a German student visa. You should start the visa process as early as possible due to long processing times.
- Applicants without an admission letter may apply for a Student Applicant Visa already during the application process.
- Applicants with an admission letter should apply directly for a Student Visa.
All students must arrive at Paderborn University by 15 November at the latest. This deadline is binding for participation in the program and guarantees a smooth and still successful study start. In justified exceptional cases, admission may be deferred to the following academic year upon formal request (through the International Office).
- Language proficiency (C1) can only be proved through official test results such as IELTS or TOEFL. University letters that confirm language proficiency are not accepted.
- Paderborn University does not offer scholarships.
- Application is valid and will be processed only with official and final documents that are re-uploaded until deadline. Conditional admission is not possible.
