Participation in the Master's Program is only possible in a full-time, on-site format. Neither online-based participation nor hybrid study models are offered. Regular physical presence and participation are required for all components of the program, including lectures, seminars, practical courses and exams.

Late arrival is only permitted up to a fixed deadline. In the program, arrival at Paderborn University must take place no later than November 15th of the respective year. This deadline is binding and applies to all admitted students. A later program start is excluded, as key academic components necessitate on-site participation during the initial phase of the winter semester. Accordingly, commencement of studies in the summer semester is not possible. Due to the program's structure, enrollment in second-semester courses without prior completion of the first semester is also not permitted.

In cases where arrival by this deadline is not possible due to justified exceptional circumstances, admission may be deferred for the following academic year upon formal request.

German language skills are not mandatory for admission but strongly recommended if the internship is planned to be done in German facilities. It might then be necessary to communicate with i.e. patients or athletes in German.
