Studying in the Department of Sport & Health
The new M.Ed. teacher training programmes have been offered since the 2014/15 winter semester. Since the 2014/15 winter semester, it has also been possible to study sport as part of the newly established "Special Educational Support" teacher training programmes in Paderborn. In this regard, a new group is currently being established, after the "Didactics of Sport" group and the institution of a junior professorship in 2013 significantly strengthened teacher training. The scientific knowledge and practical skills acquired are applied in sport - in conjunction with sport-specific knowledge - in various professional fields outside of school, e.g. in commercial and non-profit leisure facilities, in sports clubs and sports associations, in sports tourism, in health centres, in public and private healthcare organisations or in public sports administration.
