Application Deadlines & Visa Information

The ANSE Master's program starts once a year in the winter semester (October).

Application periods are:

  • 16 January - 31 May for applicants from abroad
  • 1 June - 21 September for applicants from Germany

Non-EU/EEA students may require a German student visa. You should start the visa process as early as possible due to long processing times.

  • Applicants without an admission letter may apply for a Student Applicant Visa already during the application process.
  • Applicants with an admission letter should apply directly for a Student Visa.

All students must arrive at Paderborn University by 15 November at the latest. This deadline is binding for participation in the program and guarantees a smooth and still successful study start. In justified exceptional cases, admission may be deferred to the following academic year upon formal request (through the International Office).

  • Language proficiency (C1) can only be proved through official test results such as IELTS or TOEFL. University letters that confirm language proficiency are not accepted.
  • Paderborn University does not offer scholarships.
  • Application is valid and will be processed only with official and final documents that are re-uploaded until deadline. Conditional admission is not possible.
