Qualified participation (qT) in the B.Ed. programme (Design, Dance, Performance I)
For "Gestalten, Tanzen, Darstellen I (PO 2017)", a short choreography to freely selectable music with specified technical components is required (with special consideration of the design parameters (space, time, dynamics), the flow of movement and the realisation to music).
Creation of a short choreography (alone or in pairs) min. 1 min/max. 1.30 min, taking into account the following technical elements and the above-mentioned criteria:
- a one-legged or two-legged turn in place or in motion
- one jump with an obvious jump height
- one element from the field of swinging
- a dynamic combination of movements on the floor
Examination requirements (practice)
The following examination requirements apply to the seminars:
- "Gestalten, Tanzen, Darstellen I and II" in the Bachelor of Education (GG, HRG, BK)
- "Gestalten, Tanzen, Darstellen" in the Bachelor of Education (GS)
- "Dance" in the Bachelor of Arts programme
Note: Students studying the Bachelor of Education Primary School programme only have to complete examination part II.
Examination part I. "Compulsory choreography"
The compulsory choreography is presented to the students in the seminar (Design, Dance, Performance I) and dealt with in depth in the tutorial. The aim is to realise the prescribed movement elements in the correct sequence to match the music. Both the execution of the various forms of movement and their rhythmic, spatial and dynamic realisation are assessed.
Examination part II "Creation of an individual choreography"
The second part of the examination comprises a choreography created independently by the students (duration: 2:30 - 3:00 minutes). A group size of at least 3 students to a maximum of 6 students is required for this development process. The use and provision of material (e.g. hand apparatus, costumes etc.) is possible, but is the responsibility of the student group. The piece of music or sound element must be brought along on the day of the examination in the form of a CD and a USB stick (it is advisable to test the sound carrier in the examination system in advance!)
- At least three of the basic elements (walking, running, hopping, jumping, swinging, spinning) must be integrated into the choreography
- Movement theatre elements may not take up more than a third of the choreography
The following criteria should be taken into account in the group choreography:
- Presentation skills (expressiveness/charisma, confidence in movement, synchronisation)
- Musicality (sense of beat and rhythm, interpretation of the music)
- Technique (execution of movement, degree of difficulty, consistent performance)
- Performance parameters (space, time, dynamics)
- Design intention must be recognisable → Red thread (entertainment/event/show, emotion, excitement/experience, ambiguity)
