On 1 September, Ms Börries took up her position as a lecturer for special tasks in Professor Nina Klünder's group.
She is a graduate ecotrophologist and studied in Giessen. After completing her studies, she spent 1.5 years at the Institute of Nutrition and Food Technology at the University of Chile in Santiago de Chile for research and further training purposes. Further professional stations included the GSF Research Centre for Environment and Health in Munich and the Chair of Household Economics at the Technical University of Munich, as well as studying to become a vocational school teacher as a career changer.
This was followed by a longer period of employment at an international foundation for nutrition research. In 2016, she moved to Osnabrück with her family and worked there for over 6 years as a lecturer for special tasks in the Ecotrophology programme. She is also involved in household science topics such as care work, services of general interest and ensuring quality of life for all in her voluntary work for the German Professional Association of Home Economics (VDOE) and the German Society for Home Economics (dgh), where she is deputy spokesperson for the advisory board for international issues.
She is looking forward to working and exchanging ideas with the students and getting to know each other.
