Paderborn Discourses 1: Education for Lifestyle - THE EVENT HAS PLEASANTLY BEEN CANCELLED -

Conference organised by the Institute for Nutrition, Consumption and Health at Paderborn University E N T F A L L T

Since 2005, the REVIS reference framework for nutrition and consumer education, which was also largely developed in Paderborn, has characterised the discussion about educational plans and core curricula throughout Germany and the entire German-speaking world. The educational objectives formulated there have been incorporated into core curricula and also into various framework specifications. After 17 years, however, it was time to revise and update the frame of reference. In February 2022, we therefore presented such a revision and now present ten educational objectives that reflect the current state of didactics in nutrition and consumer education.

The concept was largely developed at Paderborn University and addresses key issues relating to the sustainability of our society, which also influence everyday life in private households. The fundamental aim of the current framework of reference is to provide a school education programme that enables learners to help shape society in a self-determined and responsible way and make it worth living in. This includes dealing with all issues relating to sustainable development, digitalisation and growing social inequality as well as the resulting problems.
