Successful final meeting of the “Body Image and Physical Activity (BIIPA)” project from 3 to 4 October 2024 in Cyprus
Since September 2022, our research group has been a partner in the European Commission funded project “Body Image and Physical Activity” (BIIPA). Together with scientists from Hoegskolan Kristianstad (Sweden), Neapolis University (Cyprus), Lietuvos Sporto Universitetas (Lithuania), Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and the Transfer Education Center Triskelion (Stavanger, Norway), we developed a 15-ECTS and 7.5-ECTS curriculum to professionalize physical education teachers, trainers, coaches and people in the health and care system to deal sensitively with physicality and body image challenges in sports and exercise programs. A micro-credential course and a lifelong learning certificate course have also been developed.
